CAN BUS COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL

The CAN (Controller Area Network) bus is an automotive bus that allows microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other inside a vehicle without a host computer.

It is a message-based protocol, designed specifically for automotive applications, but is now also used in other areas such as aerospace, industrial automation, and medical equipment.

One of its main advantages is its control panel, which allows with the simple press of a finger, to activate the different functions required. The system controls and protects the power supply of each electrical equipment of the ambulance from short circuits and current overloads.

Each electrical equipment is connected to an output of the control module, controlled with state-of-the-art electronic transistors, which in turn control the status of the output, active/non-active, current consumed and output voltage.

This data is sent to the microprocessor and read by the entire system, so we can determine if there is a problem in the output, for example a short circuit, and proceed to disconnect it.
